Our association aims to empower members with essential information, foster collaboration, and advocate for policies that enhance healthcare delivery and accessibility for Libyans.

US Residency Training

This team is dedicated to supporting early-career members in their pursuit of residency in the US. We will offer an individualized mentorship program designed to help candidates reach their goals.

Our mentors offer invaluable support through:

Sharing personal experiences and insights
Offering observership and research opportunities
Assisting with resume and application reviews
Offering strategic advice on program rankings
Guiding candidates throughout the match process and beyond
Helping to define and achieve career aspirations

In addition, we host webinars on match-related topics and offer a wealth of resources, including webinars, personal statements, resumes, and NRMP application samples.

Continuing Medical Education (CME)

This committee will offer educational and training opportunities for medical personnel in Libya to bridge gaps in healthcare delivery and ensure that health workers are informed about the latest medical advancements and innovations. This initiative will involve updating and standardizing hospital practices, as well as introducing new interventional procedures and treatments.

LAMA Research Program

This committee is committed to offering research fellowship opportunities for Libyan physicians pursuing residency training in the U.S., as well as organizing research-focused webinars and workshops.

LAMA Scholarship Program

The LAMA Scholarship Initiative is dedicated to supporting Libyan students in their pursuit of education in medical and dental schools, as well as other healthcare fields. This committee is also committed to ensuring that medical students and physicians receive the assistance they need to graduate and access opportunities for specialty training.
